Curtain Up is an annual fundraising event for Playhouse on the Square where for the price of one ticket, you can attend five parties under one, large roof (one of the parties is even ON the roof). This includes music, entertainment, food, and drinks (adult and otherwise). It’s my favorite event of the year.
To help promote this year’s theme (Playhouse Loves Memphis), photos were taken of Playhouse on the Square’s resident, associate, and community actors and staff around various well-known Memphis locations. Mine, of course, was shot at Memphis’ popular no-kill cat shelter, The House of Mews, located in the historic Cooper-Young district.
Today, I learned that they have compiled many photos into a coffee table book that will be silent-auctioned at tonight’s event, and one of my favorite photos from the shoot was selected.
